Psychologist

Psychotherapy can be challenging, but it is a rewarding process. Most people come in to discuss the problems in their lives, often overlooking what is going well and their natural talents and abilities. Psychotherapy helps you reclaim yourself. We will augment your natural coping skills to help you develop new freedom and happiness at work, in your relationships, and in approaching your life. Everyone is different; no one approach fits all. How we proceed is determined by you and your needs. Your family, culture, history, sexual orientation, and ethnicity-as well as my own-are all important. I use an integrative approach that combines insight-oriented, mindfulness, cognitive, behavioral, and humanistic methods. I hold a PhD in Clinical Psychology from Fordham University and train and supervise psychologists at area hospitals. Because of this, I am sensitive to ethical concerns: honesty, integrity, and practicality. I strive to create a very kind and safe atmosphere where personal exploration is possible. Psychotherapy should be collaborative. I am vocal and active, providing my clients with ongoing feedback, inquiry, and support.
