About Dr. Xienfeng Wen

Dr. Wen is a cardiologist who joined the group in 2016 after finishing his cardiovascular fellowship training at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. He severed as the chief fellow prior to joining Texas Cardiology Associates of Houston. He has extensive training in different aspects of cardiovascular care including non-invasive and invasive cardiovascular evaluation, advanced cardiovascular imaging and peripheral arterial and venous diseases. Dr. Wen started his medical education at Shanghai Medical University (now Shanghai Medical College of Fudan University) in Shanghai, which is one of the most prestigious medical schools in China. After earning his medical degree and Doctor Degree of Philosophy in Biology, Dr. Wen came to the US as a postdoctoral research fellow. His research focused on atherosclerotic process in human arteries and TNF signaling pathways in human cells. Dr. Wen has published more than 10 scientific papers in a variety of journals. He finished his residency training in Internal Medicine and fellowship training in cardiovascular disease at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, the oldest medical school in the state of Texas. Dr. Wen practices precision medicine. He believes that medical decisions and practices should be tailored to the individual patient. In addition to English, Dr. Wen also speaks fluent Mandarin. During his free time he loves spending time with his wife and two kids. He enjoys cooking, traveling and playing tennis.
