Originally from Russia, Dr. Trakhtenberg received her medical education from the Russian State Medical University in Moscow. She began an internship in Kaliningrad, and she has been practicing since 1998. In 2001, Dr. Trakhtenberg began working as a medical assistant to Dr. Gary Sherman until 2004, when she began her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn.
