About Dr. Yoon Kim

Dr. Yoon Kim graduated from the State University of New York College of Optometry at the top of her class. She completed her clinical training at multiple locations including Castle Point VA Hospital in New York, SUNY Contact Lens Specialty Clinic in New York City, and The Toronto Laser Centre in Toronto, Canada. As a student, she was part of the research team involved in the groundbreaking Ocular Hypertension and Treatment Study which changed the course of glaucoma treatment in the US and abroad. She went on to complete her residency in Primary Eye Care and Ocular Disease with emphasis on anterior and posterior segment pathology, glaucoma, cataract, oculoplastics, vitreo-retinal, neuro-eye, and emergency eye care at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry/The Eye Institute in Philadelphia, PA. She has been a clinical director in New York City for over 24 years and is excited to bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to her patients at Total Eye Care. Dr. Kim is married and has two wonderful daughters. When not working with patients, Dr. Kim is very involved with several non-profit organizations including Girl Scouts of New Jersey, booster clubs and food pantries. She enjoys travel, hiking, skiing and spending time with family and friends.
