About Dr. Ythan Goldberg

Ythan Goldberg, MD, is Director, Noninvasive Cardiology at Montefiore and Assistant Professor of Medicine at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. His clinical focus is on noninvasive cardiology, echocardiography and valvular heart disease. Dr. Goldberg earned his Bachelor of Arts in chemistry at Cornell University in 1997, followed by his Doctor of Medicine at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in 2001. He performed his postdoctoral training at Montefiore Medical Center, completing an internship and residency in internal medicine in 2004 and a fellowship in cardiovascular medicine in 2007. Building on his clinical interests, Dr. Goldberg’s research focuses on echocardiography and valvular heart disease. His work has been presented in peer-reviewed journals and abstracts and at invited lectures. He also reviews manuscripts for Circulation: Cardiovascular Imaging, Echocardiography and Medical Education. Dr. Goldberg is board certified and is a member of several professional organizations, including the American College of Cardiology, the American Society of Echocardiography, American Heart Association and the International Society of Cardiac Ultrasound.
