About Yu Xin
Yu "James" Xin is a family nurse practitioner at Buford-Norcross Primary Care (BNPC). He sees patients 12 years and older at the Duluth location and speaks English and Mandarin Chinese. James earned his Master’s in Family Nursing from Walden University.
At BNPC, we do not offer virtual or telehealth visits for new patients. All confirmed bookings are for in-person office visits unless otherwise stated. For annual physical exams/check-ups, we request that patients fast for at least 8 hours before scheduled appointment time (no food or drink except water).

The doctor indicated that my visit (3 months from my first visit with him) was due to me being non-compliant. I am unsure how he assumed I was non-compliant, I actually followed all the doctor's orders and took all the medication as prescribed. The doctor did not test me and prescribed me meds. He did not tell me when it would be okay for me to return to work (I had an infectious illness). I inquired with the front desk if he had written a note, and the front desk asked me how long I wanted to be out (which was shocking to me). I asked the front desk to write me a note for the prior day and next three days (I would be off the weekend and would have that additional time to recover). I also missed work the day before due to being ill (a day the office is closed and does not accept appointments). The front desk refused the write me a note for the day before, refused to write me a note for three days and only wrote it for two. I am still ill and had to see another doctor this morning.
