Dr. Abdullah Nasir, PsyD

Psychologist
CO
I am a PsyD-Licensed Psychologist with a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. As a neurodivergent immigrant, I specialize in working with BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, multicultural, and esoteric-interested populations. I am non-monogamous and kink-affirming. My clinical expertise includes trauma, bipolar disorder, depression, mood disorders, eating disorders, and anxiety in all variations. My approach is eclectic, drawing from the strengths of CBT, ACT, Compassion-Focused Therapy, and multicultural modalities. I deeply value the importance and power of one’s story and their relationship with it. I work with clients from all walks of life and with a variety of conditions. My specialty and experience lie in PTSD, anxiety, depression, personality and mood disorders, eating disorders, and ADHD. In terms of communication, I maintain a balance of direct and introspective approaches, tailoring each interaction to the client’s comfort. Everyone “hears” messages differently, and it’s my job to discover the way that resonates best with you. My journey to mental healthcare began in the Sahara Desert, where I was born. From there, I traveled through Europe and Southeast Asia before immigrating to the United States. I pursued the opportunity to study the human mind—an opportunity not available in many places. I am driven by the diverse spectrum of human experience. Goal-setting is integral to ethical practice. While goals may evolve, they provide a foundation and direction for therapy. Our first session will be primarily investigative. I will ask questions to gain a thorough understanding of who you are, how you came to be, and what you seek from therapy. We will also review client rights and company policies.
