Getting to know Ahmad Walker

My passion is helping clients grow by meeting them where they are and guiding them with compassion and non-judgmental care. I work collaboratively with clients to identify their unique needs and support them in achieving their therapeutic goals. With a Master's in Clinical Social Work from Columbia University and over 15 years of experience, I have assisted children, as well as younger and older adults, in navigating trauma, loss, and various clinical diagnoses. I am deeply committed to this work, and saying I love what I do would be an understatement!
What should a new client know about working with you?
My sessions integrate cognitive behavioral therapy, EMDR, motivational interviewing, with an overall strength-based approach.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
Sessions will look different week to week. I ask all clients to create goals alongside me to ensure they feel their own needs are being met.
