What should a new client know about working with you?

I work collaboratively in psychotherapy. I have an interpersonal style while respecting professional boundaries, which assists in the treatment process. I encourage patients to ask any questions and discuss topics they are curious about. I also recommend taking time between sessions to explore and process meaningful themes and discussions that could be addressed in depth in subsequent sessions.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

The initial meetings are to understand you better, why you sort help, and for you to understand and familiarize yourself with me and the psychotherapy process. The fit in the therapeutic relationship is critical. Our discussions can at times be uncomfortable, which is part of psychotherapy and growth. Therefore, it is important that you feel comfortable with me and develop a sense of trust.
