About Alberto Segura

At House of Physical Therapy, we treat active professionals who use exercise as stress relief. We understand the fear of being told to "rest," which drives our treatment philosophy. Our average patient reports less pain within the first three sessions. Next, we target the underlying cause to prevent pain from returning, then stay with you as you transition back to the gym with full confidence! A Note from Dr. Alberto - I always knew I wanted to do something in health care, initially thinking it would be as an MD. I envisioned spending time with patients, helping them through whatever ailed them. As I got into sports (and found ways to get injured!), I realized it wasn't the MDs who gave me the experience I wanted to provide, but primarily physical therapists and similar practitioners. So I pivoted and got on the path that led me here! I earned my Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of Illinois, Chicago, after completing my bachelor's degree at Occidental College. Along the way, I've seen many sides of physical therapy and loved almost all of it-sports injuries, work injuries, wound care (chronic and post-surgical), joint replacements, pediatrics, or finally getting rid of that pain that keeps coming back. I love helping people understand their bodies and avoid future issues. I direct my care toward helping people live the lives they want and educating them on maintaining their bodies. Sometimes it's the runner or cyclist worried about an upcoming event, a high school athlete not wanting to miss out, older folks wondering how to keep living independently, or injured workers rediscovering their new normal. We all have challenges, and I love helping people meet them. I look forward to helping you get back on your path! - Dr. Alberto
