Psychologist

Taking the first step to seek out mental health services whether for yourself or for a loved one can feel daunting so I applaud you for starting the process! To give a quick overview of my practice, I provide evidence-based therapy to children, adolescents, and young adults and specialize in treating anxiety disorders, OCD, depression, and ADHD. My approach My treatment approach draws from cognitive-behavioral modalities, such as CBT, ACT, DBT, MI, and PMT. I'll help you or your child increase self-understanding, create more balanced and helpful thought patterns, and engage in behavioral experiments that help build bravery, increase self-confidence, and improve overall well-being. My focus I work with children, adolescents, their families, and young adults. I have expertise in treating anxiety disorders (e.g., social anxiety, generalized anxiety, specific phobia), OCD, depression, and ADHD. I can also help with related mental health concerns such as perfectionism, academic stress, burnout, and emerging adulthood transitions. My communication style In my communication with clients and families, I lead with curiosity, validation, and a nonjudgmental stance. I strive to create a therapeutic environment where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered. In practice, this will look like me engaging in active listening, asking open-ended questions, and providing thoughtful feedback. My journey to mental healthcare Throughout my life, I've felt a strong calling to help others. Growing up, I noticed a culture of stigma and silence around mental health, and I felt inspired to help change the narrative by speaking about mental health and, specifically, directly offering quality and compassionate care to those struggling with mental health concerns. My goals for you I'll work closely with you at the start of treatment to identify goals that feel personally meaningful to you.
