About Dr. Alison Commender

Alison first became interested in anatomy, alignment, and function while growing up as a competitive diver. After graduating with a B.S. in Kinesiology from the College of William & Mary, she pursued her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Virginia Commonwealth University, where she completed clinical rotations working with outpatient neurologic and orthopedic populations. After moving to New York, she shifted her own activity interests to endurance-based exercise, including swimming, running, and hiking. Alison loves working with return-to-sport patients, runners, and patients with balance and neurologic conditions. When not at work, you can find her up on a mountain!
