Getting to know Alizze'a Harris
A new client should know that I value and prioritize creating a safe and non-judgmental space for my clients to openly discuss their thoughts and feelings. I strive to help you feel comfortable exploring your concerns while supporting your personal growth to encourage new ways of thinking. I utilize an integrative approach to therapy that is tailored to your individual needs. I hold a Master's in Mental Health Counseling from the City University of New York, Baruch College, which informs my practice and commitment to providing effective, compassionate care.
What should a new client know about working with you?
Clients can gain a deeper understanding of themselves through self exploration and reflection. They can expect to learn coping strategies and tools to manage their challenges. Ultimately, leaving feeling empowered and equipped to make positive changes in their lives.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
In the first session I will complete an intake assessment to gather as much information to better assess and get to know you, your history, and what concerns have brought you to therapy and therefore set up goals. The following sessions, we will engage in talk therapy while pulling from various modalities to help you achieve your goals. Our sessions are 45 min in length on a weekly basis.
Please allow 15 minutes before the session to do the intake paperwork.
