My approach My primary method of therapy is Rational Living Therapy (under the CBT umbrella) that allows individuals to truly understand how and why we interact with the world around us based on our thinking. I enjoy teaching and learning with clients. I will not send you home with a worksheet and expect you to figure it all out on your own. I will walk you through each step, invite you to challenge and experiment with the methods, and work together to figure out exactly what you need to live the life you want to live. I also use mindfulness based practices, I love teaching coping skills, I do exposure and prolongued exposure therapies. Creativity is a high priority on my list. I'm not your cookie cutter counselor. I enjoy problem solving with my clients to find the best use of all of the theories and practices that I am familiar with. I consider every session a chance to learn and grow together. My focus Have you been struggling to live the life you imagined for yourself? I invite you to experiment with me in a safe and nurturing setting where you can be your true self. I believe that each and every one of us already has what we need inside in order to be self-actualized. Sometimes we get stuck. I work a lot with individuals who have experienced varying types and degrees of trauma. Your trauma does not have to define you. You have the power to take back your life. I will help guide you and foster the strengths you already have so that you can live your best life.
