*After booking, you will receive a link via IntakeQ so you can complete the required intake forms prior to your appointment* I’ve been a therapist for many years, and while I don’t limit my work to a single specialty, I most often support individuals navigating depression, anxiety, later-in-life ADHD diagnoses, and challenges with emotions like anger. I believe therapy can benefit almost anyone. It offers a safe, supportive space to process difficult experiences, explore emotions, and build practical coping skills for concerns ranging from insomnia to relationship struggles. I’ve worked with adolescents, young adults, and adults on a broad spectrum of life challenges, including relationship issues such as infidelity, questions around gender and sexuality, substance use, and personality disorders. In addition to providing therapy, I’ve served as a case manager and residential director, supporting individuals with severe and persistent mental illness, as well as those managing ADHD, depression, anxiety, and OCD. My experience spans both long-term care and acute interventions, allowing me to meet clients at different stages of need, whether they are seeking ongoing support or immediate stabilization. Before moving into my current role, I spent a decade in community mental health, where I was passionate about expanding access to care for underserved populations. I also led a county crisis program, supporting individuals during some of the most difficult moments of their lives. These experiences shaped my commitment to meeting people where they are, without judgment, and providing compassionate, effective care.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Over the course of my career, I’ve worked across a wide range of settings, including community mental health, inpatient care, crisis programs, and within the criminal justice system, including prisons and county jails. I have extensive experience working with mandated and forensic populations, including individuals involved in anger management, domestic violence, and sexual offense treatment, as well as those navigating complex trauma. My work has included supporting both victims and perpetrators of crimes, always with a focus on accountability, safety, and meaningful change. If you’re seeking therapy for the first time, I encourage you to be patient with yourself and pay attention to how you feel with your therapist. A strong therapeutic relationship is essential. If something doesn’t feel right, it’s okay to speak up or explore other options. Finding the right fit matters. Outside of work, I value quiet, reflective time to recharge. I enjoy unwinding on my back porch with my dogs, meditating, cooking, and getting lost in a good book. I also cherish spending time with my youngest son, whether we’re watching a show together or relaxing over takeout on the weekends. Above all, my goal is to create a space where you feel heard, respected, and empowered. I’m passionate about making mental health care accessible to everyone and will work with you to build a path forward that aligns with your goals and values.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My approach to therapy is flexible and individualized. I use an eclectic mix of techniques, tailoring each session to your unique needs and goals. I tend to be direct yet empathetic, creating a space where you feel both supported and gently challenged. Whether you’re looking for short-term solutions or deeper, long-term work, I collaborate with you to shape a treatment plan that feels meaningful and effective. I draw from a range of evidence-based approaches, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) skills such as mindfulness and distress tolerance, motivational interviewing, solution-focused therapy, and trauma-focused CBT. I also value ongoing feedback, and I actively work with you to adjust our approach so that therapy feels helpful, relevant, and aligned with your goals.
