Hi there, I'm Angela! My name is Angela "Anji" Null and I am a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in children, adolescents, and women's issues. I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in psychology and a Master's of Science degree in clinical psychology with a child emphasis and have over thirty one years of post graduate experience practicing psychology. My approach Over the 31 years of my clinical practice, I have developed an eclectic approach to my patients. I have a broad repertoire of therapeutic approaches and tailor my therapeutic style and intervention to my patient's individualized needs and preferences. I often utilize cognitive behavioral and client centered modalities and have training in play therapy and experiential techniques, as well. My focus While I am experienced and comfortable working with most populations, my specialization is with children, adolescents, and women. I have extensive experience working with issues such as abuse, adoption, trauma, co-dependency, behavioral disorders, depression, anxiety, and family of origin issues. My communication style My communication style tends to be reflective and nonconfrontational, with a focus on the client gaining personal insight through my intervention. Furthermore, I encourage my patients to give feedback or redirect the focus of the session at any time. My journey to mental healthcare I first became drawn to the field of psychology as a high school sophomore. I believe years of attempting to cope with social anxiety, often referred to as shyness in my childhood, encouraged my desire to assist others with their mental health journey. Over the years my professional, as well as personal experiences, with grief/loss, parenting, life stressors, have strengthened my resolve to help my clients. Watching my patients grow interpersonally and become mentally healthier, more resilient individuals makes my career as a psychologist extremely rewarding.
