Welcome! I focus on a client-centered approach, tailoring therapy to meet clients where they are and helping them realize and reach where they want to be. I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing to empower clients to identify what is keeping them stuck and help them move forward. I have practiced in the field of behavioral health for the last 28 years and am trained to work with individuals, couples, and families. My experience spans numerous settings, including private practice, inpatient psychiatric hospitalization, community services boards, and emergency services, with a focus on treatment for mental health and substance use disorders. I hold a Master’s in Counseling Education from Radford University and a Bachelor’s degree from Longwood University.
