Psychologist
1140 Broadway, Ste 204 DE, New York, NY
If you’ve felt marginalized, misunderstood, or shaped by experiences of discrimination, relational trauma, or identity-based stress, therapy can be a space to slow down and make sense of how those experiences live on in your body, relationships, and inner world. You don’t need to have the “right” words or a clear story to begin. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, isolation, trauma, complicated relationships, or a period of change that’s left you questioning who you are or where you belong, we can start exactly where you are. Growing up between the U.S. and India, I learned early on what it feels like to live between worlds—to hold multiple identities at once and to search for a sense of belonging that isn’t always reflected back to you. “Home” has never been just a place for me; it’s been a feeling. That experience deeply shapes my work as a clinical psychologist, where I support people in building a sense of safety, stability, and self-trust within themselves—especially when the outside world has felt invalidating or unwelcoming.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Outside of my professional life, I find joy in creativity and exploration. You might find me dancing on top of a table, sharing my thoughts on Substack, trying to master the piano, painting, reading, scrolling through funny TikTok videos, exploring new places, or resting with friends and family. I usually try to find a balance between taking charge of the day and letting the zodiac stars guide the way.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My approach is trauma-informed and draws from psychodynamic and relational therapies, with attention to how early experiences, power dynamics, and cultural contexts shape the present. I work with empathy, curiosity, and humor, and I take seriously the impact of systems—family, culture, race, gender, ability, and identity—on emotional well-being.
