About Dr. Ashlyn Zoon

Ashlyn Zoon was born and raised in Albany, Oregon. She received her bachelor’s degree from George Fox University in Exercise Science and minored in Psychology. She then continued her education at George Fox University, where she achieved her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. She tells us, “I found my passion for physical therapy in a more unconventional way compared to most. I was an athlete in high school like many others, however my heart for this profession stems from my experience working with special needs children. I volunteered at a camp for children with disabilities back in high school and from there made a connection with a family and their daughter who has cerebral palsy. I later became one of her caregivers and had the opportunity to learn more about her physical therapy care. After seeing the incredible impact therapy had on this young girl’s life, I knew I wanted to be a part of this amazing profession. Whether it’s getting back to walking or collegiate-level sports, I found a deeper passion for making a difference in the lives of those who experience pain and disability. When I am not practicing, you will likely find me spending time with my husband and dog, hunting, fishing, camping, kayaking, hiking, or anything outdoors!” Ashlyn’s clinical experience and focus is in orthopedic physical therapy. She is a compassionate and dedicated physical therapist, who strives to provide the best patient care possible through continuing education, adhering to evidence-based practice, and utilizing a holistic approach.
