About Dr. Benjamin Kurtz
Dr. Ben Kurtz earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences, Graduating Magna Cum Laude in 2014. Dr. Kurtz completed his clinical rotations at Baylor University Out-patient orthopedics Neurological Center and Gayle Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation. Dr. Kurtz has received advanced training in the evaluation and treatment of orthopedic and sports conditions. He was awarded a Board Certification in Orthopedic Physical Therapy following completion of his residency at Rancho Physical Therapy in March 2020. For the past seven years he has worked in outpatient Orthopedics. Dr. Kurtz specializes in a manual therapy approach that emphasizes hands-on, one on one treatment to promote healing and maximize recovery potential.
His work as an associate professor at the University of St. Augustine reinforces his commitment to evidence-based treatments backed by the most current research and industry best practices. He believes success is borne from understanding movement and strives to empower his patients with the knowledge necessary to take control of their recovery, ensuring long term results.

Love the studio and all the staff are terrific. I have not used a Physical Therapist before but I felt well looked after and all of the staff were smiling and engaging.

Dr. Kurtz was so kind and personable and made my first time at a physical therapist very enjoyable and informative. I was happy that he was able to get an idea of what's been going on with my knee and provided me with some exercises to do on my first visit and am looking forward to making more progress to a pain-free lifestyle!

I never had to wait around like another place I went to. I was constantly taken care of by the PT or assistant. The therapy given has improved to the point that I no longer have to wear a brace or use a cane. I have been to other therapists with little results. I highly recommend MJ physical therapy! Everyone there is very professional and friendly.

Dr. Ben is an amazing human and a wonderfully knowledgeable professional. His friendly demeanor makes the painfully necessary work a bit less uncomfortable. He has helped me figure things out the specialist could not. I currently have less pain and I attribute it all to working with Ben Kurtz.

I first went to MJ PT for a knee injury, Ben kept me mobile and is now helping me recover from the surgical repair. He is extremely knowledgeable and very pleasant to work with. He pushes me to where I need to be. His positivity is contagious. I highly recommend this facility.
