Hello, I'm Brenda Carney, a Licensed Master Social Worker who earned my Master's in Social Work from Wayne State University. My entire career has been dedicated to supporting the Metro Detroit community. As a therapist, my passion lies in helping individuals within my community improve their well-being. In my practice, I specialize in assisting adults as they navigate the stress of caring for their parents, providing client-centered therapy with empathy and support. I also work with adults and seniors facing life challenges or medical issues that bring about significant life changes. I understand the difficulties during these times and am here to offer support and equip you with the tools needed to move forward with a positive perspective. I maintain a laid-back approach, acknowledging that you are the expert on yourself, and my role is to suggest ways for you to help yourself.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

For the initial appointment, I will send you a biopsychosocial assessment to complete before the visit. Therefore, I do require at least 24 hour notice for most appointments. We will review the reason for your appointment and what you hope to get out of our relationship.
