I believe therapy is deeply process-oriented, so it looks different for every person. Generally, my approach integrates mindfulness, behavioral, cognitive, and relational methods. My approach ultimately depends on your needs. Fundamentally, I believe there are a few core, shared aspects of life that we all relate to: understanding the self, finding purpose, experiencing fully, and relationships. My therapeutic approach is centered on you and your needs, collaborative, and grounded in evidence and years of experience. I am a generalist, which means I have worked with many different people on a variety of presenting issues. Regardless of my experience, what matters most is whether there is a good fit between us—meaning our communication and personality styles align in a way that cultivates an environment where you feel safe and curious to explore. My communication style ranges from empathic, reflective, validating listening to direct, goal-oriented, specific instruction. Depending on your goals for treatment and what feels most helpful to you that day, the tone of our sessions will adapt accordingly.
