Bryan Del Rio was raised in Fitchburg, Massachusetts. He attended Springfield College, where he earned a master’s degree in Physical Therapy in just five years as part of an accelerated program. He joined EXCEL in 2002. His interest and participation in sports of all types, along with his love and predilection for science and medicine, led him to pursue his chosen career path. Bryan has always played a variety of sports, including soccer, baseball, football, and swimming. In college, he discovered rugby, and balanced his studies with being a part of Springfield College’s team. Bryan still enjoys a variety of high-intensity interval training classes, and regularly attends spin classes. With a wife that is a Pilates instructor, he has also developed a first-hand appreciation of how challenging those classes can be. Bryan was first introduced to the sport of triathlon in 2008 and hasn’t looked back since. He has completed three Ironman races in Sonoma, CA, Lake Placid, NY, and Mont Tremblant, Canada. Bryan fills in his race calendar with other shorter endurance events and can be seen around Bergen County, Harriman State Park, or Lifetime Fitness swimming, cycling, and running throughout the training season. When not training, Bryan and his wife enjoy spending time in the kitchen cooking and learning about wine. They keep busy finding new, and revisiting familiar, favorite culinary experiences both locally and in New York City. An annual trip earmarked to visit family on Bonaire gives them an opportunity to take a break from their busy lifestyles and recharge their batteries. Bryan has been an integral part of EXCEL’s growth ever since he joined the company back when it was just a single office in Fort Lee. Over the years, his role has evolved to include helping develop newer therapists, mentoring other Clinic Directors, and helping contribute to EXCEL’s continued success in any way he can.
