Psychotherapist
CO
At Harbor Relationship & Recovery, I provide a warm, collaborative, and individualized approach to therapy for individuals, couples, and those navigating substance use concerns. I believe there is no one-size-fits-all path to healing, which is why I integrate a range of evidence-based and relational approaches—including person-centered, humanistic, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Gestalt therapy—based on each client’s unique needs and goals. My work with couples focuses on improving communication, rebuilding trust, and strengthening emotional connection. In individual therapy, I support clients in understanding patterns, regulating emotions, and creating meaningful change. In substance use counseling, I take a compassionate, nonjudgmental approach that explores underlying drivers while building practical skills for recovery and long-term stability. Across all areas of my work, I aim to create a space that feels safe, honest, and supportive while also gently challenging what may be keeping you stuck. My goal is not only symptom relief, but helping you feel more grounded, empowered, and connected in your relationships and your life.

What should a new client know about working with you?

New clients should know that you don’t have to show up perfectly—or even know exactly what you need—on day one. We’ll figure that out together. My style is relational, honest, and down-to-earth. I focus on building a strong foundation of trust so you feel safe enough to be real, while also helping you move forward in a meaningful way. Whether we’re working with you individually, as a couple, or around substance use, I’m intentional about balancing insight with action—so you’re not just talking, you’re actually seeing change. I also pay attention to the pace of our work. I’ll challenge you when it’s helpful, but never in a way that feels overwhelming or out of reach. The goal is for therapy to feel useful, grounded, and ultimately empowering in your everyday life and relationships.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My process is collaborative, supportive, and tailored to each client—whether I’m working with individuals, couples, or those navigating substance use. We start by understanding what’s bringing you in and what you want to feel different. For couples, that may mean improving communication and rebuilding trust. For individuals, it might be managing emotions or working through deeper patterns. In substance use work, we focus on understanding triggers, building coping skills, and strengthening recovery. From there, we create a clear direction together. Sessions balance processing with practical tools you can use in real life. I’ll gently challenge what’s keeping you stuck while making sure you feel supported. Over time, the goal is for you to feel more confident navigating challenges—within yourself, your relationships, and your recovery.
