Psychologist
1140 Broadway, Ste 204 DE, New York, NY
I specialize in working with children and adolescents ages 5–18 who are experiencing anxiety, emotional overwhelm, and stress, often connected to the academic and social pressures of New York City schools as well as current global events. Many parents come to me feeling worried, unsure, or exhausted by how hard their child seems to be trying while still struggling. My goal is to help children feel calmer, more confident, and better able to manage their emotions, while helping parents feel clearer and more supported in how to respond. Supporting parents is also a central part of my work. I partner closely with caregivers to help make sense of what their child is communicating through their behavior and to develop practical, realistic strategies that actually work at home and school. Parents often share that they leave treatment feeling more confident, less overwhelmed, and better equipped to support their child, even during moments of stress or uncertainty.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Before joining SelfWorks, I trained at the Mount Sinai Adolescent Health Center, where I had the opportunity to work closely with teens and their families. I earned my PsyD in School-Clinical Child Psychology from the Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology, and am continuously pursuing learning to best support my clients. A native New Yorker, I embrace the city's vibrant energy. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time outdoors, baking, and exploring New York’s coffee scene with my dog by my side.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I believe therapy works best when it is warm, collaborative, and grounded in understanding your child as a whole person. With children and teens, I focus on understanding how anxiety, stress, and past experiences are showing up in their behavior. That may look like perfectionism, school avoidance, emotional outbursts, or physical symptoms. Sessions are developmentally appropriate and tailored to your child, drawing from attachment-based, relational, CBT, DBT, and trauma-informed approaches. There is no one “right” way to parent an anxious child, and therapy is not one-size-fits-all. I strive to create a nonjudgmental space where children and parents feel heard, understood, and supported. If your child is struggling and you’re not sure how to help, taking this step is a meaningful act of care and you don’t have to figure it out alone.
