Getting to know Charles Rosen

I provide a safe and professional environment for working together. I address with my patients multiple disturbing or bothersome issues such as anxiety, depression, loss, trauma, stress, self-defeating behaviors, lack of self confidence/self-esteem, issues of sexuality and gender identity and work/relationship problems. My approach is analytically informed but tailored to the individual. I have excellent training and over 30 years experience, and supervise and teach at a major psychoanalytic institute. With the help of our therapeutic relationship and process I hope to help my patients face and cope with difficult thoughts and feelings and enact major changes in their lives. I worked in a medical setting for many years. While not a physician, I help people with psychological problems and co-existent medical problems. I am aware of the complexities of career steps and work life in such areas as finance, law, visual/performing arts and the academic world/teaching. I am a graduate of programs in psychotherapy and psychoanalysis. I teach and supervise in both. I’m experienced with issues of intimate relationships and sexuality, and lifestage issues: marriage, parenting, retirement/aging, and inhibitions of thinking and creativity. I am willing to discuss reducing fees when there are limited resources. Mr. Charles Rosen encourages you to talk about your feelings openly. He is non - judgemental. He prods you to examine your own inner feelings about your life or the people in your life. He is an excellent listener who wants you to express yourself competely.
I have been in treatment with Charles for the past three years and cannot recommend him highly enough. He is insightful, attentive, and flexible with scheduling. I find him particularly successful at pointing out patterns in my feeling/behavior, and checking in to see how I am feeling about the way things are going in our sessions.
Charles creates a kind, accepting and non-judgemental therapeutic environment. He encourages self-exploration with gentle and responsive questions. I often feel in this partnership that I am being helped to uncover sourses of emotional discomfort and I leave the office with more feeling of well-being.
I have been seeing Doctor Rosen every week for over 3 years and counting. His analysis and insight have truly had a profound impact on my life. By recognizing behavioral patterns, identifying their origins, and excavating the resulting feelings, Doctor Rosen has helped me to achieve goals that I never thought would have been possible. With his help, I have been able to feel more in control of my life and less like i’m just here for the (often bumpy) ride. His razor sharp insight is delivered in a delicate and respectful manner. The consistency and clarity of Doctor Rosen’s practice have offered a much needed sense of grounding within the tumultuous climate that we all face. Highly recommended.
Me Rosen gave me all the attention that I needed during the visit and I felt very satisfied with him. His manner are very considered and warm and his insights have been very helpful to me. I will see him again because he is the right therapist for me. I would recommend him to people that I know in need for help.
