Life comes with ups and downs, and unpredictable challenges and experiences. Let’s work together to help you uncover what matters most, unlock habits of avoidance, attain goals that align with your values, and strengthen relationships with others and with yourself. When we learn to no longer avoid vulnerable emotions and fully heal from painful experiences, we begin to reduce self-criticism and judgment, find more meaning in life, and experience love and acceptance. Life is too short to not live fully and to live with the weight of unnecessary self-judgement, shame, blame, and guilt. As we lighten the load of negative beliefs and emotions, we live with more balance, wellness, and joy. My approach I have 18 years of experience providing psychotherapy and mental health treatment in a variety of settings. I am integrated in my approach, and tailor treatment based on a client’s specific needs and background. I lead with cultural sensitivity and humility and collaborate with clients to develop individualized plans for treatment. I utilize evidence-based psychotherapies, such as cognitive behavioral therapy, cognitive processing therapy, written exposure therapy, motivational interviewing, seeking safety, and time-limited dynamic psychotherapy. My focus I specialize in working with adults living with anxiety, stress, trauma, grief and loss, chronic pain/chronic illness, LGBTQ+ related issues, anger and irritability, and communication/interpersonal challenges. My communication style I am assertive, compassionate, collaborative, and direct in my style of communication and approach to treatment. My goals for you We will work together to help you identify what is most important, help you create specific goals for treatment, and collaborate on choosing efficacious, research-based interventions well-suited for your clinical symptoms and personal challenges.
