What should a new client know about working with you?

My dedicated work with children, adolescents, and adults has served to reinforce my goal of holistically improving the lives of my clients. My job as a therapist is to support and empower you to reach your own goals within the context of a safe and profound human relationship.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In individual therapy you are able to explore the issues in your present and learn their origins, create a plan of how to treat them and overcome challenges that you may have faced on your own for years. We will take a comprehensive approach to your treatment. We will create a plan of action together and use different modalities as appropriate to ensure the best care possible.

We are not in network with any HMO plans. I want to use my out-of-network benefits. What do I need to ask my insurance company and how do I figure out how much it will cost? Questions to ask: Do I have out-of-network benefits? Is there an annual deductible that needs to be met and when does that deductible amount reset? (This is the amount that you have to pay out of pocket before your insurance starts paying) What is my coinsurance after my deductible is met? (This is the percentage of the allowed amount that you are responsible for per session) What is the allowed amount per session? (This is the maximum amount your insurance company will pay for the session) Is there a limit on how many sessions I'm allowed a year? For example: Allowed amount* - $130 $500 deductible* - you would pay $130 per session until you reach $500. 30% coinsurance* - after $500 deductible is paid, you will pay 30% of the allowed amount 30% x $130 ($39) will be your out-of-pocket cost per session after meeting deductible. *Allowed amount, deductible and coinsurance varies by insurance company and plans. Contact your insurance to find out what these amounts are.
