About Daniel Shleyger

Daniel became a physical therapist because he has always been passionate about exercise, sports, and helping people reach their fullest potential. He earned his bachelor’s degree at Rutgers University, where he had the opportunity to work alongside Division 1 athletes. That experience showed him how proper training and recovery can transform someone’s ability to perform at the highest level, shaping the way he approaches every patient today; whether they are an athlete returning to competition or someone simply trying to move without pain. Daniel went on to earn his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Touro University. He treats a wide range of orthopedic conditions and has a particular interest in post-surgical rehabilitation, guiding patients through every stage of recovery in order to return to the activities they love. He is especially passionate about ACL rehabilitation, using result-driven therapy based on return-to-sport progressions. Growing up, Daniel competed in judo and wrestling, where his team experiences taught him the value of discipline, resilience, and trusting the process; principles that he now brings into the clinic every day. He believes recovery is a partnership and takes the time to understand each patient’s goals, so they feel supported and confident throughout their plan of care. Outside of the clinic, Daniel stays active however he can, whether that’s training judo, playing basketball, going on walks with his two dogs, or going for a run.
