Hi there, I'm Debra! My name is Debra Kimble, and I am currently a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I received an Associate’s degree from Corning Community College in Human Services in 2010, a Bachelor’s degree from Mansfield University in 2013 in Social Work, and graduated in 2015 from Temple University with a Master’s Degree in Social Work My approach In 2023 I became a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. Additionally, I recently was trained in Cognitive Behavioral Interventions with a focus on employment for adults. I utilize the following treatment modalities: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Informed Care, and Motivational Interviewing. My focus I work with adults ages 18 and up, and prefer to engage in individual therapy with patients. I have immense experience working with individuals who are severely mentally ill. My communication style When conducting a therapy session, I tend to be rather casual. I try to make it a comforting experience for my patients, and I want them to leave the session feeling better than when they came in. My journey to mental healthcare I always knew since I was a young child that I wanted to help other people. Growing up with a father who suffered from a severe mental illness, and a mother who was addicted really gave me the motivation to help others. I feel like I have a personal understanding of how mental illness can impact the family system. I am motivated to help others in any way that I can because we all deserve happiness, just sometimes our paths to get there are a little different. My goals for you When working on goals, typically together we will complete a treatment plan to include YOUR goals, and I usually assist patients with creating objectives. It is the patient's responsibility to track their progress and ensure they are working toward achieving their goals.
