I have been a clinical therapist for over 15 years, with a very empathic style, and I have treated people with various issues at different stages of their lives. I feel that therapy is not a one-size-fits-all approach, and together we can work on the issues that you feel are holding you back from living the life you want. My approach I am very client-centered in my approach and utilize different styles of therapy such as CBT, motivational interviewing, psychodynamic, and strengths perspective, to name a few. My focus I work with clients ages 14 and up and have extensive experience helping people navigate obstacles such as depression, anxiety, grief, and substance abuse/addictions. My communication style I am very empathic, and I believe my style makes clients feel safe and comfortable communicating openly. My journey to therapy I chose to become a therapist because I love working with people and helping others begin their journey toward positivity and change. I earned my Master’s in Social Work from the State University of New York, Stony Brook. My goals for you I believe it is very important to create goals together and to identify and reevaluate them as treatment progresses. My first session with you In the first session, it is important to build rapport, review your history and pertinent information, and discuss the expectations and goals of therapy.
