Elena Garcia-Davranova, M.Ed., LMSW, is a Licensed Social Worker in New York State. Ms. Garcia-Davranova obtained a Master Degree in Social Work from New York University. She also holds a Bachelor Degree in Human Development and Family Studies, a Master Degree in Early Childhood Education, and has nine years of experience as an early childhood educator. She holds certification in Crisis Intervention Counseling through the Long Island Crisis Center and has completed the Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training program through Living Works Education. Ms. Garcia-Davranova works with individuals, couples and families from diverse backgrounds throughout the life span, including children, adolescents, emerging adults and adults. In her work with clients, Ms. Garcia-Davranova integrates psychodynamic, client-centered and strengths-based approaches with elements of cognitive therapy. She supports her clients by helping them find their inner voice, recognize their personal strengths and develop healthy coping abilities. By listening deeply, validating feelings and illuminating their own resources, she empowers clients to find the capacity for self-determination and self-nurturing.
