Getting to know Emily Barth

Disclaimer: Providers at Canino Psychotherapy focus on therapy services and do not prescribe medication, as they are not psychiatrists. As a therapist with a Master's in Clinical Social Work from Rutgers University, I aim to help clients feel seen and validated while providing a safe space for healing. Drawing from Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Strength-Based Perspective, and Solution-Focused Therapy, I collaborate with my clients to find solutions in their lives and challenge limiting beliefs. In my work with children and adolescents, I engage clients through play therapy, art therapy, and mindfulness. Facilitated through my warm and compassionate nature, we can begin your journey to healing.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My style is warm, empathetic, and collaborative. As a therapist, I want my clients to feel empowered during the therapeutic process. *Please kindly note that we do not provide psychiatry services (medication) and are unable to accept UnitedHealthcare Medicaid insurance plans at this time.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I work with clients by understanding goals, providing a safe non-judgmental space to process emotions, and value each client's uniqueness. In therapy, the client is the expert and we will work together to start the healing process.

My provider never sent the link to join. Called the office a few times to make sure I used this service correctly. No one ever answered.
