What should a new client know about working with you?

My style is relational and educational. Therapy is a process of learning about you, your story, your concerns and your goals. As I learn about you, I provide education on how the mind works, how change works, and what strategies you can implement to make the changes necessary to accomplish your goals. Therapy is a choice to change. The more you become aware of your limiting beliefs, the more you are empowered to use your free will to choose change. I am here with you every step of the way to support, encourage, and empower your choice to change.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

A typical session is 55-60 minutes in length and combines reflection on current stressors, awareness of your patterns of thinking, feeling, acting and experiencing, practice of new tools, review of skills learned, implementation of strategies, and focus on small daily steps towards accomplishing your goals.
