She has practiced Transcendental Meditation (TM) and yoga for over 30 years and is a Registered Yoga Teacher. She strongly believes that healing the mind can only happen when we tend to the whole body.

Erika holds a Masters in Social Work from Smith College School for Social Work, and completed the Psychodynamic Psychotherapy Program at the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy. Erika's other post-graduate trainings include: Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Eating Disorders (CBT-E), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Encountered Centered Couples Therapy (ECCT), Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE) Treatment, Psychedelic Harm Reduction and Integration, Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy, and others!

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Erika sees patients for psychotherapy and is also the Clinical Director of Erika Malm Collective. If schedules or fees don't align, Erika is happy to provide you with referrals to colleagues in her collective or the broader community. In her work with couples, individuals & families, Erika's goal is to help you to connect or reconnect with your sense of meaning in order to carve out a life that is fulfilling. Through working with Erika, you can develop successful strategies to address daily challenges, and find avenues to thrive instead of merely survive in life. Collaborating with other committed providers (including primary medical doctors, acupuncturists, body workers, psychiatrists, dietitians and others), Erika ensures patients receive the most comprehensive and effective care possible.
