What should a new client know about working with you?

A new client should know that, as their Counselor, I aim to collaborate with them throughout their therapeutic experience while providing them with the tools to navigate life. My therapeutic modality is eclectic, but I work towards person-centered care, as each client is unique and therapy needs to be tailored for that individual. You should learn more about yourself and how to manage your various roles in life.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

A session starts with establishing a strong foundation, which means we need to get to know one another. I typically ask my clients about their expectations and what success looks like towards the end of our therapeutic relationship. We will then implement different techniques based on the information the client provides me during intake and throughout the experience. The hope is to gradually build a solid professional therapeutic alliance. I always remind clients that therapy is not magic; it can feel vulnerable, look messy at times, but it takes a team to make therapy successful. I will be there to support to the best of my abilities.
