Hi, I'm Felipe, a board-certified counselor and psychotherapist specializing in psychodynamic therapy for individuals and couples. I help those who feel stuck, whether from emotional distress, overwhelming anxiety and persistent worry, or relational patterns that impede meaningful connections. I also work with couples who wish to repair prior injury to the relationship, navigate conflict and address issues of disconnection. Through careful exploration of the thoughts, emotions and relationships that shape one’s experience, psychotherapy can help make sense of why certain difficulties persist and open the possibility of responding in ways that feel more manageable. What should a new client know about working with you?

Rather than following a structured program or technique-driven format, my work draws on what emerges naturally as we explore your inner life and concerns. We pay attention to recurring themes, emotional patterns, and the ways past experiences continue to shape present ones. Over time, what once felt confusing or out of reach becomes clearer. I work particularly well with adults who are curious about themselves and motivated to engage in open, exploratory conversation.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I invite clients to speak openly and without censoring their thoughts so that we can thoughtfully explore emotions, experiences, and behaviors that are outside of awareness and may shape current experiences.

Initial session: $175 for 50 minutes

Ongoing session: $175 for 50 minutes

Files your insurance claim: You pay the session fee upfront and the provider files the claim for you, so you can get reimbursed directly without worrying about the paperwork

While I do not have a direct relationship with insurance providers and collect my full fee at the time of service, I can submit insurance claims on your behalf directly to your insurer to facilitate the process for you (also known as courtesy billing). When eligible for reimbursement, most clients receive checks from their insurance company by mail within a few weeks.
