Psychotherapist
153 W 27th St, Ste 300, New York, NY
My personal philosophy is that change is possible and my approach to therapy is through this optimistic lens. With a background in physical rehabilitation and mindfulness, I appreciate how a multi-faceted and eclectic approach to therapy can promote healing. My objectives in mental health counseling are to encourage clients to become curious about how their mind works and help them connect with their inherent ability for positive change. I have several subspecialties including, EMDR, to help clients work through past traumas. I also have advanced training in Internal Family Systems (IFS), an emotional regulation mindfulness training, and Pain Reprocessing Therapy. I take an eclectic, holistic approach to therapy, drawing from multiple modalities to meet each client in the way that feels most natural and effective for them. Therapy is a collaborative process. I work with my clients in a mutually respectful way through issues of depression, anxiety, and chronic pain to create changes for themselves. I hold a master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Southern New Hampshire University. I am also a licensed Occupational Therapist and worked as a hand therapist for 20 years. I hold degrees from New York University and McGill University.
