Getting to know Frank Divenuto

** Availability in-person in Manhattan NYC and/or virtually++ Hello! My name is Frank, and I am a dedicated and experienced therapist committed to fostering mental wellness and emotional well-being. I’d like to start by saying that I wholeheartedly believe that the strongest foundation for healing and growth rests between the relationship of a client and their therapist. When working with clients my philosophy is to provide a safe and welcoming space so that you and I can “dig-in” and work collaboratively together to overcome obstacles, challenges and sources of stress that may be currently impacting your mental wellness. For over 20+ years, I've empowered individuals and couples to navigate life's challenges. My approach is grounded in evidenced-based training as well as having a “tool kit” of very practical skills, tools, and techniques. I have worked with clients from diverse backgrounds and I am very comfortable with any person who wants to further discover themselves and their truest potential. Through supportive guidance and compassionate listening, I help my clients to embark on a journey of self-discovery. Together, we explore emotions, unpack experiences, and cultivate healthier coping mechanisms. I believe everyone deserves access to quality care to ensure all clients have the support they need to flourish. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, depression, seeking improved relationships, or simply aiming for personal growth, my goal is to help equip you with practical coping strategies and encourage self-discovery to forge your best self. Let's take the first step together.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I work with clients navigating a wide range of challenges, which means each person deserves a personalized approach to care. Therapy with me is built for you, not a template. Our work begins with a thoughtful, holistic intake to truly understand who you are, followed by a collaborative process where we create a supportive space for growth, healing, and lasting change.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

There is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy or growth. My work integrates multiple therapeutic frameworks to help you better understand your thoughts, emotions, and life experiences, including personal history, family systems, and formative influences. Together, we explore how life has shaped you while intentionally designing who you are becoming.

I highly recommend Frank as a therapist. He is incredibly proactive and has a remarkable ability to help navigate complex thought processes. I truly feel heard and understood during our sessions. Frank possesses a deep understanding of the human mind, and his patience, kindness, and thoughtful approach make a significant difference in my journey. His support has been invaluable, and I genuinely believe he can help others as well.
I have never connected to a therapist before Frank. His skills are masterful and I've benefited greatly from working with him. Every session is worthwhile. I cannot recommend him more highly.
Frank is the absolute best. He genuinely cares about his patients and is willing to take the steps with them to get you where you want to be.
Frank has been a tremendous support during a difficult time, helping me grow personally and navigate life's obstacles with a better understanding of myself. He balances an empathetic approach with thoughtful coaching, which helps me work through various challenges and better position myself for success in the future. I'm looking forward to continuing my journey with Frank moving forward.
Frank makes therapy very easy. Normally, it takes me awhile to open up but with him, it was instant. He makes you feel heard while still being able to give a spot on diagnosis. Frank truly is a top of the line therapist.
Frank is an extremely knowledgeable and caring therapist. My 11 y-o son has been seeing him weekly for a few months now and I have seen a noticeable change and improvement in his anxiety. Frank’s industry knowledge and experience in schools makes his work with children invaluable. My son looks forward to his sessions with Frank and we trust him. We have trust in not just his professional opinion on matters, but his care or our son and our family, which is something I was really seeking. Working with Frank has provided an extra safety net when it comes to my son’s mental health, something every parent can benefit from.
Frank has been wonderful to work with - highly recommend! I tried a few different therapists before landing with Frank, and have found him to be by far the best to work with. I've been seeing him for 5+ months now and have learned so much since working with him!
I've been doing therapy with Frank for about two months now, and it's been going great. Frank has provided me with space to speak freely and without judgment. He has a slightly more active approach than therapists I have seen in the past, and I find this helps me find insights. After a couple of months of sessions I am feeling more positive and hope to continue working with Frank. If you are considering Frank as a therapist, I recommend jumping in and seeing if he is a good fit for you.
I highly recommend Frank. I usually stick to seeing female therapists; however, I felt it was time to branch out of my comfort zone. My feelings are validated and/or challenged when necessary. I enjoy the work I’m doing on myself with the help of Frank.
I have been seeing Frank for four months, and the experience has been transformative. Frank creates a warm and welcoming environment that makes it easy to open up. He is not afraid to push me in a non-judgmental manner to help me see the truths that I need to hear. I always leave our sessions feeling heard, understood, and more equipped to handle life's ups and downs. I highly recommend Frank to anyone seeking support and personal growth.
