I booked a few days ahead on zocdoc and was contacted by this psychologists office the previous day for insurance verification which went through without issue. My appointment was then cancelled over email a few hours prior to the scheduled time citing that “ Your provider requested that we help you find a better match Many people meet with more than one before finding the right match.” I was a new patient and have never met with this psychologist before. I felt this was an unprofessional and condescending way to cancel an appointment. Scheduling issues happen but it is absurd to say that she wants to cancel a new patient appointment the day of the appointment because we are not a good match.
