Are you having trouble with depression, anxiety, life transitions, managing relationships, and parenting your children? Are you experiencing issues in the quality of your relationships that have you stumped or frustrated? Welcome to your journey! I believe that people start therapy when they no longer feel that they have a handle on life and relationships and where they’re headed. When a strong relationship with a therapist and client is established, true change can happen. I use a variety of treatments to help you see that you can grow and change the quality of your life and your relationships. My approach I use Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you gain skills to better manage your moods and behaviors, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) for more advanced skills, especially in managing relationships, and psychoanalysis for understanding how the past dictates how we think and feel so that you can move forward from the impact of earlier times in our lives. Each person’s journey usually needs to combine more than one of these therapies to help them feel a sense of contentment and happiness. My focus I work with older teens and adults. My clients are often going through life transitions or periods of sadness and anxiety. There are those who want to improve their skills in communicating more effectively with others so that they feel that they have relationships that are rich and rewarding. Throughout your growth, I’ll make sure you feel supported and help strategize ways you can reach your goals. My communication style I prioritize an open communication style with my clients, along with a bundle of empathy and a dash of humor. Whatever you’re thinking, I want to hear about it. I will help ease guilt and self-judgements that get in the way of real change. I want you to feel like you have someone to turn to who has your best interests at heart.
