Hi, I’m Dr. Jeffrey Hansen, a licensed Counseling Psychologist and Addiction Counselor dedicated to helping adults and adolescents navigate co-occurring disorders, substance use, trauma, mood and anxiety disorders, and personality-related challenges. Whether you're exploring sobriety, processing difficult life experiences, or managing a mental health diagnosis, I’m here to support you with compassion, clarity, and clinical insight. My goal is to meet you where you are and walk with you toward sustainable growth and change. I take an adaptive, integrative approach grounded in evidence-based methods such as Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Attachment-Informed care. I also incorporate 12-step principles when helpful. Therapy with me is collaborative and goal-oriented, we’ll work together to build insight, stability, and confidence at your pace. I completed my addiction counseling training at the University of Minnesota, earned a Master’s degree from St. Mary’s University, and a Doctorate in Counseling Psychology from the University of St. Thomas. Over the years, I’ve worked in high-security inpatient hospitals, residential facilities, and outpatient clinics. No matter the setting, I remain committed to offering grounded, thoughtful care that honors your full experience.
