What should a new client know about working with you?

I offer compassionate care for complex trauma and mental health disorders, as well as diagnostic psychological evaluations. Using a genuine relationship and healing methods like EMDR and ego state therapy, my therapy patients are helped to create lasting change with challenging problems like depression, anxiety, PTSD and recent trauma, personality disorders, dissociative disorders, bipolar disorder, OCD, and relationship issues. Working collaboratively in a safe and comfortable telehealth setting, I provide my patients with the skills and perspectives needed to overcome their concerns in a way that's safe, effective, and rewarding. In addition to therapy, I offer psychological evaluation services. Psychological evaluations to diagnose mental health conditions, learning disorders, and neurological conditions are available; additionally, I offer pre-employment clearance evaluations for law enforcement professions, and pre-surgical screenings required by physicians. All people are welcomed with warmth and empathy to address their mental health needs in my practice. For those that seek Christian counseling, I offer a faith-integrated approach to treatment when requested. I look forward to meeting your needs with warmth, skill, care, and compassion.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

When a new patient works with me, we use the first session together to talk about the patient's history, background, needs and therapy goals. By the end of the session, I offer a diagnosis and treatment plan based on what has been shared so far. Each patient has an opportunity to shape the plan that we discuss together, which allows them to be fully engaged in their care and aware of what to expect in the future. We know that needs and goals evolve over time, so we work together to make updates as needed, and learn what works and what needs adjustment. This approach empowers patients to feel in control of their care and use our sessions in a way that feels rewarding and productive. For psychological evaluations, we establish in the beginning what questions need to be answered during the evaluation. I then use a combination of interviews, record reviews, and psychological tests to answer the question and create a written evaluation.
