“I worked with Dr. Jillian a couple of years ago for shoulder impingement - one shoulder after the other - and within a few months, thanks to her care in the East Village office and the exercies she gave me at home, both of my shoulders were fine. Now I started weighlifting a year ago in a weightlifting studio, and when I started to feel one of my glutes getting sore regularly after workout, I decided to work with her again. Virtually this time. She reviewed my posture and patterns movements, gave me specific exercises. And at my utter surprise, within only two or three virtual sessions, the soreness is gone. I cannot recomment Dr. Jillian's virtual sessions more! She is truly a brilliant PT. Catherine”

About Dr. Jillian Proniewych

At House of Physical Therapy we treat active professionals who use exercise as their stress relief. We understand the fear of being told to "rest" and that drives our treatment philosophy. Our average patient reports less pain within the first 3 sessions, next we target the underlying cause to prevent the pain from returning, then we stay with you as you transition back to the gym with full confidence! Clinic Director at House of Physical Therapy (2019) Jillian Proniewych, Doctor of Physical Therapy, is an expert in manual therapy who works with the Broadway casts of Fiddler on the Roof and American Psycho, as well as the hit series Quantico on ABC. As a former collegiate track and field athlete, she specializes in sports injuries with a focus in manual therapy, vestibular and post-concussion rehabilitation. She is passionate about delivering the highest quality of care; She achieves this by the restoration of high functional movement and sound biomechanics, patient advocacy, and quelling pain. She prides herself on being a lifelong learner and enjoys taking continuing education courses from the Institute of Physical Art, various sports medicine symposiums, and the American Physical Therapy Association. • Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy (Stony Brook University) • Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise and Sport Science (Ursinus College) • Member of Alpha Eta (National Honor Society for Allied Health Professions) • Member of Phi Epsilon Kappa (Exercise and Sport Science Honor Society)

My video sessions with Dr. Jillian was great!!!
I saw Dr. Jillian for a telehealth session and it was amazing what she could do over Zoom! She has really mastered the art of online therapy through video sessions.
Dr. Jillian is an excellent practitioner who is invested in her patients. She takes the time, and puts forth the energy in working along with the patient addressing not only the patients issue at hand but addresses the patients health care needs as a whole. She gives timely and thorough responses to any questions the patient has. Add to that she has a lovely personality, is a positive person, and gives the patient hope in the challenges they face.
I was skeptical about Physical Therapy over Zoom, but the session was surprisingly similar to a regular doctor's appointment. She was able to do a physical exam by watching me do specific movements, then she looked at my desk setup and made recommendations for my work from home situation. During the exercise portion she demonstrated everything and gave feedback on my form. The video session was great, looking forward to meeting weekly!
HOPT is an amazing business! All of their staff are super helpful and make a commitment to meet you where you're at every week. They seem genuinely committed to my recovery.
The video sessions helped me with my recovery!
Jillian is awesome! She is detail-oriented, responsive, and goes the extra mile to determine the best regimen for you. I really like House of PT's philosophy around highly customized, 1:1 patient care. Unlike most PT clinics, you'll always be seen by one doctor at a time, who works with just one patient at a time. The team is cutting edge and innovative and constantly working to improve their care. It would be hard to find a higher standard of care anywhere else.
Dr. Jillian at House of Physical Therapy is excellent. She is knowledgeable, patient and also provides great feedback with helpful tips to get through the Home Exercise Program she provides and part of the treatment plan.
Super helpful! Started seeing Jilian online and working through videos, and recently started seeing her in person! If you follow the instructions and exercises there’s no doubt you will get better! Super sweet and helpful, location is very nice too! :)

My last experience was not good. She probably knows what she is doing technically but pays no attention to the patient. She asks you do certain moves and goes back to her laptop check emails don't even look if you are doing it right or wrong. Last time she kept chatting loud with other people in the office on irrelevant stuff. There is dog hair everywhere, last time she asked me to do some moves on the mattress which was full of dog hair. I'm not going to get another appointment.
There isn't much equipment available to do exercises. She gave exercises to do at home or the gym, and mostly did body work. The appt was only 30 min each. Not really effective.
Super knowledgeable, helpful and professional!

I was SO RELUCTANT to try physical therapy again as my previous experience consisted of a few exercises on a print-out given as homework. After 6 months of neck pain that was seemingly immune to the Chiropractor and to Acupuncture, I gave PT with Dr. Jill a shot. Although it took a few weeks to start feeling lasting relief, I was impressed by both the hands-on approach and careful analysis of my movements contributing to the pain. I started with 3x a week and after about a month reduced my appointments to weekly and am honestly at a point where I am virtually pain free! I do have moments and twinges of pain but I also learned how to remedy the pain at an early stage to prevent and limit it from causing chronic discomfort. Dr. Jill has extensive knowledge of the human body and is available to answer and explain anything. Be patient, do your homework, and believe in the process - it works!

I can't recommend this place enough. Jillian helped me work through lower back issues in record time, and now I feel better and stronger than ever.

Dr. Jillian got me back and running after some knee pain. She gave focused exercises that fit in with my fitness routine. She clearly explained everything and made me feel relaxed.
Jillian has been the most effect physical therapist I've seen. I came in with a twinged back issue and with the exercises she gave me I was able to strengthen my back and shoulders, which helped my posture tremendously. Most importantly she helped me learn how to work with the slight asymmetry of my body. We then moved on to some knee problems I continued to have that past therapy didn't quite resolve. Jillian corrected my lifting form so I could get back in the gym and basically gave me a whole body adjustment that has made all the difference as I continue to be physically active playing soccer, snowboarding, running and whatever else I choose to do. She is not just a great physical therapist, she is also a wonderful person to be around. I highly recommend her and her practice.
