About Joseph Guarini

Joe Guarini, PT, DPT is a physical therapist with Professional Physical Therapy in Freehold, NJ. Joe grew up in Staten Island, NY and later attended CUNY College of Staten Island, receiving his Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) in 2018. Joe absorbed knowledge from the best and believes that communication and patient education are some of the most valuable keys to excellent healthcare. To work on healing yourself, it is critical to understand the source of your issues. He has treated all types of orthopedic conditions and has been known to facilitate incredible changes with his evidence based treatment plans, and with a great pair of hands for manual therapy. Whether your goals are to build strength, get rid of that nagging injury, or to get back on the field, Joe believes that physical therapy offers the answers and the tools to be able to achieve them. He has worked primarily in outpatient settings after achieving CUNY’s “Faculty Award for Excellence in Physical Therapy” and “Award for Outstanding Service.” Joe has worked in the hospital and outpatient setting where he has treated numerous neck, back, hip, knee, shoulder and foot surgery patients, as well as the larger population of non-operative conditions. He also has become proficient in treating the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) through participation in continuing education. He understands the journey that patients go through during the rehabilitation process and loves to work with them to manage expectations along the way towards achieving their goals. Joe is an avid sports fan and power-lifter, enjoying all types of recreational sports and treating the athletic injuries that come with the active population. Joe prides himself in not only managing symptoms, but locating and addressing the root cause of pain and disabling injuries.
