Getting to know Kaitlin Scott

Disclaimer: Providers at Canino Psychotherapy focus on therapy services and do not prescribe medication, as they are not psychiatrists. I have a wide range of experience in the mental health field, specializing in treating trauma and PTSD, anxiety, and depression. Together, we will explore the root causes behind recurring patterns in your life and address core beliefs and unprocessed emotions that may be holding you back.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I work from an empathetic, strengths-based perspective, and I believe that therapy should be a collaborative process. We will work together to find and leverage your strengths and help you progress towards your goals.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

A typical session may look different for each client, as I tailor our work together around your specific needs.

Ever since I began seeing Katie a couple of years ago, she has shown me so much compassion and understanding. It takes a remarkable human to dive so deeply into someones truama and help them see a way out. That is Katie! Highly recommend!
Kaitlin is great!! She listens, understands, empathizes, and I can feel that she really cares. She has a way of explaining things that really gets through to me, and I really value her feedback! I've worked with other therapists, but she has been by far the best one! I have also really benefitted from our EMDR work together.
I would highly recommend Katie as a therapist. I feel that she is highly competent and skilled at what she does. She helped me to learn how to manage my relationship with my very difficult mother, and she understood me in a way other providers have not been able to. I have gotten to a much healthier place because of her, and I am extremely grateful. I feel lucky to have found her.
