Dr. Kaleb Singleton, PsyD

Psychologist
CA
Salutations and thank you for your interest. I'm Dr. Kaleb Singleton, a licensed clinical psychologist in California and Wisconsin, with a PsyD from California Southern University. I approach therapy from an eclectic clinical perspective, using CBT and supportive client-centered methods. At the root of my approach is a focus on love of self and acceptance of one's perfect imperfections as the unique human condition. My approach I am first and foremost a listener. Many people just need to be seen, heard, and given an appropriate amount of space for self-expression. After understanding the needs of my clients, I prefer a collaborative approach to finding a way to achieve or restore emotional balance in their lives. Growth in the moment is usually the most important goal. My focus I work with individuals suffering from depression, high anxiety, those who lack motivation, people experiencing trauma and abuse, as well as couples facing difficulties relating to each other. I work with early teens to adults and enjoy the range of experiences therapy has to offer. I also provide disability services. My communication style I want clients to feel the comfort of self-expression in a judgment-free, safe space. I validate the personal struggles of those routinely invalidated by marginalized gender, racial, and sexuality-based roles that are products of systemic racism and sexism. My journey to therapy I do this work because I survived a traumatic childhood and existed in many marginalized spaces where I hungered for the ability to be heard and embraced for who I was. Many times, I was left disappointed but realized that maybe my best option was to become someone who could provide these same opportunities I wished I had for others who needed them as well. My goals for you I approach goal setting in terms of baby steps and achievable objectives that allow one to give themselves as much grace as they would be willing to give to anyone else they love.
