“I have been seeing Kelsey since 2023 and she is very professional, kind and has really helped to guide me in my journey of self-discovery. I’ve noticed how much more open I am, and a difference in how I process and feel into emotion. Getting to know Kelsey Anderson
Are you experiencing long-term depression and/or anxiety, self-esteem issues, relationship concerns, or anger management challenges? My clients are best supported by a non-judgmental, explorative approach. Clients who are most engaged in my therapeutic style are interested in working on their inner dialogue, communication patterns, and building healthy habits. I hold a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Long Island University, which informs my compassionate and effective practice.
What should a new client know about working with you?
I believe in holistic counseling and the wellbeing of body, mind, and spirit. Clients explore unaddressed feelings causing depression, anxiety, and meaning making. My style of counseling incorporates eclectic Psychodynamic theories, Gestalt, and applied Jungian analysis. This intuitive approach increases clients' self awareness and emotional tolerance.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
A person's thoughts, emotions and actions are often private and vulnerable. Having a therapist that you can trust and feel comfortable with is important to your healing journey. I look forward to speaking with you.

Files your insurance claim: You pay the session fee upfront and the provider files the claim for you, so you can get reimbursed directly without worrying about the paperwork

As an out-of-network provider with major health insurance companies, I’m able to offer flexibility in session rates and can work with you to simplify the process of handling deductibles and insurance claims. This approach allows us to focus more on your care and less on paperwork.

I was asked to cancel this appointment myself first with out any real reason. I had to inquire why the appointment had to be canceled and then an explanation was given. I work in a fast place environment and could understand why I had to cancel since I wasn’t the one wanting to cancel. I was never seen by provider

I have been working as a patient with Kelsey since Fall 2019. Since that time, I have learned, grown, and experienced so much under her guidance. I came to therapy with a specific question/situation in my mind and years later, I am still here. With her help, I am unlearning old patterns, discovering myself, learning new mindsets and new habits.
Kelsey is patient, calm, understanding, great listener, and a mindful person. She asks you the pertinent questions to help you dig deeper in yourself then she allows you the space needed to discover it yourself. She is this safe space you didn’t know you needed or could have until you met her.
I am really glad that I have met Kelsey and have been taking care of my mental health with her support. She is an amazing person and will be wonderful helping you in your mental health journey.

I have been working with Kelsey for over four years now. She has been a great partner in working on the issues and concerns that I have brought to our sessions. She is thoughtful and empathetic with her pushes. I appreciate her flexibility in approach and her nudges to own my growth and learnings outside the room into my life and personal interactions. I have made so much progress and she has held me accountable to the personal goals I have set for myself during our time together.

Kelsey is always on time and communicates schedule changes in advance. She focuses on your goals and ensures you get what you need out of therapy. She does frequent check-ins to ensure that we are staying on track. She is extremely engaged and pushes me just enough. Her ability to recognize patterns in my behaviors, even the most subtle and unrelated, is outstanding. She notices small changes in my body language even though we only meet remotely. Her attention to detail allows us to confront some of the more difficult areas in the moment and at my comfort level. She is extremely respectful and gentle while still being direct which is my favorite thing about working with her. I highly recommend her! She is perfect for the person who is really looking to grow, better learn themselves, and heal from past pains.
