Getting to know Kristina Damiano

I have clinical experience using a cultural and trauma-informed perspective to individualize treatment for my clients. I specialize in working with clients experiencing anxiety, eating disorders and body image issues, OCD, relationship challenges, ASD, ADHD, self-esteem concerns, and sex and intimacy issues. My practice includes children, adolescents, adults, families, couples, and LGBTQ+ individuals. I hold a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University and a Bachelor’s degree from the State University of New York, Binghamton.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I work from a place of non-judgement and authenticity where clients can feel free to show up as themselves. I value compassion and empathy and use collaboration to help clients achieve their goals. I use CBT and DBT to help clients understand behaviors, thoughts, emotions, and relationships. Working with couples, I use Attachment Theory and The Gottman Method to navigate relational issues.
