Getting to know Dr. Laura Lammers

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or like something just isn’t working, even if things look “fine” on the outside, you’re not alone. I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist serving teens and adults located in any of the 43 PSYPACT states. I’ve worked across a wide range of settings, including inpatient psychiatric hospitals, residential addiction treatment, and outpatient private practice. This experience allows me to support clients at many different stages of change and complexity. I specialize in anxiety, ADHD, mood disorders, and substance use, and I have a strong interest in working with older adults navigating life transitions, loss, and evolving identity. Whether you're feeling constantly on edge, struggling to focus, or trying to regain a sense of control, we’ll work together to understand what’s driving these patterns and how to move forward in a way that actually feels sustainable.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My approach is warm, direct, and collaborative. I don’t believe in a one size fits all model. Therapy should feel tailored to you. I aim to create a space where you can speak openly and honestly without fear of judgment, while also helping you challenge patterns that may be holding you back.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In our first session, we’ll focus on understanding your background and what’s bringing you in, moving at a pace that feels comfortable. From there, our work will be guided by your goals, whether that’s building coping skills, improving relationships, or gaining deeper insight into yourself. If you’re ready to start making meaningful changes, I invite you to reach out.
